The Italian Journal of Public Health (IJPH) is a globally circulated international peer-reviewed journal listed in the National Library of Medicine. Founded in 2003, the IJPH is a quarterly publication for original research and theoretical or methodological papers within the area of public health.
Long papers, short papers, reviews, letters and commentaries are reported in English language, with issues being published in March, June, September and December.

within the area of public health
Manuscripts containing original material are accepted for consideration with the understanding that neither the article nor any part of its essential substance, tables, or figures has been or will be published or submitted for publication elsewhere. This restriction does not apply to abstracts or short press reports published in connection with scientific meetings. Copies of any closely related manuscripts should be submitted along with the manuscript that is to be considered by the IJPH. The IJPH discourages the submission of more than one article dealing with related aspects of the same study. Please note: all submissions must include a duly signed and fully completed cover letter. non-conforming manuscripts will be returned to the authors.
How to send in your manuscript
Material can be submitted to the Editor by either:
- Ordinary mail
- Electronic submission
Use of ordinary mail
If you prefer to use ordinary mail, you may send your manuscript and the completed cover letter including all signatures and statements to the Editor (c/o Dr. Roberto Bucci),

Procedure:
-
download the template of the cover letter, print it and fill it in completely, making sure that it includes all the required signatures;
covering letter template (document in acrobat format)
covering letter template (document in word format) - print three (3) paper copies of the complete manuscript, including text pages, legends, tables, references and figures and add these to the printed copies of the signed cover letter;
- copy all of the files that constitute the manuscript onto a single non-rewritable CD Rom or DVD Rom;
- all the electronic files must be in Microsoft Office format.
Electronic submission
All of the required documentation must be sent via e-mail to the following address: antonietta.monteduro@ijph.it, roberto.bucci@ijph.it
Procedure:
- all of the electronic files must be in Microsoft Office format;
- download the template of the cover letter and fill it in completely. Ensure that all of the required electronic signatures are included;
- send the file as an email attachment to the following address: antonietta.monteduro@ijph.it;
- please don't send any emails exceeding 3 Mb. If your submission exceeds this please contact antonietta.monteduro@ijph.it or roberto.bucci@ijph.it for further instructions;
- please kindly note that it is mandatory to subject the email with the following title: "PAPER SUBMISSION". Only mail with the aforementioned subject shall be automatically forwarded to the following evaluation pages. All other email shall be automatically discarded from our system.

Please note:
The covering letter, signed by all authors, must include the name, address, telephone and fax number of the corresponding author who is
responsible for negotiations concerning the manuscript. You may submit more than one copy of the cover letter if authors are not in the same location,
